Kate Austin-Groen

Kate plays Adriana - Adriana is certainly not looking older! And is certainly very happy with her super-committed and attentive husband! Why, did someone say something…? It’s all lies! Wait—what did they say?

Kate has been performing for over three decades and has worked with numerous regional theatre productions in several states, including Texas, Virginia, Minnesota and California. She has appeared with OpenStage Theatre in The Three Musketeers, Rent, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Othello, and has directed the Company’s productions of Ideation and A Bright New Boise. Kate also has served as OpenStage’s Company Manager for the past three seasons. Other local performances include The Blue Flower, Mariela in the Desert and Quilters with Bas Bleu Theatre, and The After Party with The Actors’ Gym Collaborative Theatre.

The Comedy of Errors

By William Shakespeare, Directed by Denise Burson Freestone

“How many fond fools serve mad jealousy!” - William Shakespeare

Not one but two sets of long-separated twins form a springboard for confusion, slapstick, and surprise as a family that once was lost now is found. Shakespeare’s farcical onslaught of mistaken identities, fateful romance, and family reunions has all the ingredients for theatrical chaos. By far Shakespeare’s zaniest comedy! It’s time for adventure in the park and under the stars. Walk in, bike in, or drive in! Featuring nightly food trucks.
