David Austin Groen
David made his OpenStage Theatre directorial debut with The North Plan two seasons ago and has appeared with the Company in multiple OpenStage productions. A thirty-two-year veteran of theatre, David has performed in over fifty different productions and theatrical tours. Some of his favorite credits include Caliban in The Tempest, Agamemnon in Apocrypha, Stuart in Cooking with Elvis, Edward Winslow in A Pilgrim’s Project and Denver Parmenter in God’s Country. David was previously the artistic director of Radio Star Improv in San Francisco and is a founding member of Fort Collins Comedy Brewers Improv. When not being a theatre nerd in one way or another, he is a brewer, a 3rd grade girls’ soccer coach and an avid gamer. David is a member of Actor’s Equity Association.
