Andrew Strider

Andrew Strider plays. . . well,  he's everywhere! Dancing and singing his way to his own grail (hint: a homicidal male), this versatile character is definitely NOT dead yet as he provides us with a broad generalization of England's history.

Andrew is no stranger to the theatrical stage, but has long been estranged from it. The majority of his theatre background lies in his college days at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Louisiana Tech University after he was tricked into auditioning for Lysistrata at ULM and landed a role. From there, he went on to play such roles as Herman in Sweet Charity, Junior in Dearly Departed, the Writer in The Good Doctor and Ensemble work in Merrily We Roll Along and Big: The Musical. Andrew stepped away from the theatre for about eight years after school and is now stepping back in. He’s ecstatic to be able to perform in OpenStage’s Spamalot after such a long absence from theatre. When not on the stage, Andrew works as a full-time RN and is a member of the 101st Colorado Army National Guard Band. He’s an avid triathlete, karaoke enthusiast and full-time nerd.

Monty Python's Spamalot

Book and Lyrics by Eric Idle, Music by John Du Prez, Directed by Emelie Borello

“. . . a resplendently silly new musical.” – The New York Times

As gleefully silly yet wickedly smart as the beloved film Monty Python and the Holy Grail – ‘Spamalot’ is an irreverent parody of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. It’s a joyous romp of a musical, filled with wild characters and wilder shenanigans. From killer rabbits to farting Frenchmen, the Lady of the Lake, Tim the Enchanter, Not Dead Fred, and the Knights who say Ni, ‘Spamalot’ will make you want to take your coconuts in hand and join this wacky quest! 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical. 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Contains adult language and themes.
