bio CHARLIE FERRIE has performed in numerous OpenStage productions including as Duke Senior in As You Like It, as Saul Lieberman in Splitting Infinity, in The Exonerated, as Husz in A Bright Room Called Day, Almady in The Play's the Thing (for which he won the OpenStage OPUS Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role), Rosse in Macbeth, Lord Henry in Dorian Gray, Richard in Fuddy Meers, Prospero in The Tempest (for which he received the 2001 OpenStage OPUS Award for Best Actor), Kent in King Lear, Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, Otto in Bullshot Crummond, Ray in Lone Star and Reverend Hale in The Crucible, as well as title roles in Ebenezer and The Importance of Being Earnest, among others. Charlie also has appeared in Rag and Bone with openstage etc; in Someone to Watch over Me, The Scarlet Letter and Little Foxes with Bas Bleu Theatre; Speed of Darkness/Velocity of Light with The Dance Connection; and several productions with Colorado State University Theatre, Foothills Civic Theatre, Front Range Chamber Players, Fort Collins Children's Theatre, CSU Summer Cafe Theatre and OpenStage Opera. Charlie is married to Jeanne Shoaff and finds being the father of his own two children and his two additional stepchildren his most rewarding and challenging "role." |
