KATHY LEONARD has been performing in area theaters and dinner theaters for over forty years. She has been an OpenStage Company Member for twenty seasons and is a proud recipient of the Founder's Award, which is given to Company Members for outstanding contributions. She was seen onstage most recently as Rebecca Nurse in OpenStage's The Crucible. Favorite roles with OpenStage include Veta in Harvey, Mom in True West, Katherine in A Perfect Ganesh, Mrs. Graves in Enchanted April, Kate in The Cripple of Inishmaan, The Abbess in The Comedy of Errors, Madame Aigreville in The Ladies Man, Millie in Hot L Baltimore and Sarah in Quilters, a role she reprised at Bas Bleu Theatre. Other favorite roles are Dolly in Hello Dolly, Emily Dickinson in The Belle of Amherst, The Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, Agnes Gooch in Mame, Miss Hannigan in Annie, Ethel in On Golden Pond, Aunt Abby in Arsenic and Old Lace and The Reverend Mother in Nunsense. Recently, Kathy was a guest artist at UNC's Little Theatre of the Rockies playing Clairee in Steel Magnolias. Kathy also enjoys being storyteller with Spellbinders of Larimer County.
