BRIAN MILLER is designing lighting for his tenth production with OpenStage Theatre, including Amadeus (Best Lighting Design, BroadwayWorld/Denver), Journey to the West, Outside Mullingar (Colorado Henry nomination), La Bête and The Crucible, for which he won the 2018 Colorado Henry and OpenStage OPUS Awards for Lighting Design. For Bas Bleu Theatre he has designed both scenery (Boeing Boeing and the upcoming Waverly Gallery) and lighting (The Snow Queen, last season’s Equus and the upcoming Harvey), and for Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, lighting for last season’s The Music Man and the upcoming Nunsense and Motones Vs. Jerseys. Brian is resident lighting designer for Theatre Esprit Asia, 5280 Artists Coop and Theater 29 in Denver. He attended Cornell University, where he studied both Biology and Theater, and New York University, where he studied Theatrical Design and received an M.B.A. in Finance. Brian has designed more than 250 productions since resettling in Colorado twenty years ago.
