KATY WILLIAMS is a puppet, makeup and props designer based in Denver. Her mission is to spread the joy and accessibility of puppetry and implement the art form in theatres all over Colorado. Most recently, she reproduced her original puppet show, The Myth of Pegasus, which featured four life sized puppets, at the Fort Collins Fringe Festival with her producing partner, Rhen Hirsh. Katy currently is working on puppets for Pandemic Collective, creating props for Aurora Fox Art Center, designing makeup for Rocky Mountain Theatre For Kids, and lending a hand at WYNOT Productions. She has consulted on Little Shop of Horrors for the University of Denver, created puppets for Into the Woods at Northglenn Youth Theatre, was a featured makeup artist at the Denver Zombie Crawl, and was a puppeteer in People’s Theatre of Denver’s Death Goes on Strike. Katy is always busy teaching puppetry workshops to adults and children and being the producer of The Rocky Mountain Puppet Slam.
