MAGGIE CUMMINGS started her intermittent connection with theatre portraying the second cow in a kindergarten production of the nativity story. Later work includes performances with Colorado State University Theatre, Fort Collins Children's Theatre and Foothills Civic Theatre. Maggie also has taken a turn behind the scenes in publicity, light and sound board operation, box office, set construction and make-up design for OpenStage Theatre and Foothills Civic Theatre. Her most recent appearance was as Margaret Fuller Slack in Bas Bleu Readers Theatre's production of Spoon River Anthology. She designed make-up for OpenStage Theatre extensively during the 1970s and 1980s and began designing with the Company again in 2009. Her most recent OpenStage Theatre designs include And Then There Were None, The Crucible, August: Osage County, Bullshot Crummond, The 39 Steps, Is He Dead? (OpenStage OPUS Award for Best Hair Design with co-designer Denise Freestone), The One-Eyed Man Is King, As You Like It and Anon(ymous) (OPUS Award for Best Make-Up Design with Judith Allen).
